audio production + consulting

Laila Oweda is an independent audio and podcast producer based in New York City.

She is host and producer of Builders, a podcast by Betaworks Studios (Betaworks) which covers the tech ecosystem and beyond. Builders highlights the people who are making a dent in the universe-the makers and the doers.

Laila is also editor for Naked Beauty Podcast, a show featuring unfiltered talk about beauty trends, tips, and products.

Her passion for storytelling began at BRIC Arts Media when she became one of their first Certified Community Producers, airing content on Brooklyn Free Speech Radio. Soon after Laila began recording and production for ‘TELL Queer Storytelling’ at The Bureau of General Services—Queer Division- an independent, all-volunteer queer cultural center, bookstore, and event space hosted by The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City.

Laila was raised in The "Sunshine City" of St. Petersburg, FL and is a graduate of Eckerd College. She loves Dachshunds, cooking, nature, travel, and is passionate about social justice causes.
